Get yourself a case that will protect your cue from humidity.

Moisture is one of the main causes of cue warping. Hard cases give better protection than soft cases.

Store your case upright, not lying down. If it’s a soft case, hang it on a hook. Store your cue in a rack, if you have one. Never leave your cue in your vehicle. Remember, wood will warp, especially if it’s a long, thin piece (like a cue).

To clean your cue, simply wipe down with a warm soapy damp cloth and immediately wipe dry. Never use sand paper. To clean up the shaft, use a dry green scour pad (found in your local grocery store). Also, keep your hands clean.
